At this annual conference of the National Air Traffic Controllers, Joe Fruscella of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association and Bill Peacock of the Federal Aviation Administration offered two perspectives on controller staffing and talked about a proposal to privatize the air traffic control system and the upcoming wave of retirements of industry employees. Following that John Carr, also of the NATCA, and Deputy Transportation Secretary Michael Jackson spoke. All speakers answered questions from audience members. close
