Ms. Levin talked about her book, How the Universe Got Its Spots: Diary of a Finite Time and a Finite Space, published by Princeton University Press. The book discusses what is known about the size and shape of the universe and the approaches scientists are using to expand their knowledge of the subject. Ms. Levin describes how, by identifying the size and shape of the hot and cold spots throughout the universe (a consequence of the Big Bang), scientists may someday be able to accurately describe what the universe looks like. She answered questions following her remarks. close
