President Bush spoke to business leaders about corporate responsibility in the wake of several business failures and accounting scandals. He called for increased funding and enforcement mechanisms for the Security and Exchange Commission, more sever penalties for corporate crime, and greater accountability by business leaders. He also called on company heads to fully disclose their salaries and benefits in a manner the shareholders could understand. close
