Stuart Rothenberg editor and publisher of the Rothenberg Political Report, discussed three upcoming primaries in Michigan, Georgia and New Hampshire. In Michigan, Representatives John Dingell and Lynn River, both Democratic incumbents, ran for the same seat due to redistricting. In a similar incumbent race in Georgia, Republican Representative Bob Barr ran against Republican John Linder. Finally, Representative John Sununu challenged incumbent Bob Smith for a New Hampshire Senate seat. Mr. Rothenberg gave an overview of each primary, showed the latest campaign ads in each of the three races. Local reporters spoke during the program by phone. Those reporters, Deb Price, of the Detroit News, and Jim Galloway, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, also offered their insight into the races. close
