Author David Maraniss talked about his upcoming book, They Marched Into Sunlight: Battlefields of War and Peace in 1967. In it, he compares and contrasts two battlefields: the chemical riots in Wisconsin and the battle in Vietnam. He states that it was through his travels to Vietnam and visiting the archives in Wisconsin that he captured the essence of his book. Despite the fact that these wars took place more than thirty years ago, David Maraniss believes that there are some universal lessons embedded in these wars. Following his presentation, he answered questions from members of the audience. close
