Marvin Kalb moderated a panel discussion at the National Press Club on terrorism, international efforts to combat terrorism, and the methods used to fight the battle. The event was titled "Impact of Terrorist Attacks on Politics and the Media". Among the topics they addressed were the response to September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the use of preemptive actions to prevent terrorist activities, the relationship between personal freedom and national security, the role of the press in counter-terrorism, as well as religious and moral values. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
