Senator Kennedy spoke about U.S. policy on Iraq, potential military action against Iraq, and efforts to return United Nations weapons inspectors to the country. He said that military force should only be used as a last resort and that tough diplomatic efforts and enforcement of U.N. resolutions should be tried before forces are committed to the region. He also warned against the politicization of patriotism. Following his remarks he answered questions from audience members. close
