Secretary Powell spoke to reporters about an agreement between United Nations Weapons inspectors and the government of Iraq. He acknowledged that the agreement was a positive step, but said that the Security Council should enact a new resolution with stricter requirements than the existing resolutions on the subject. He also said the administration opposed inspections under the current framework. Following his remarks he answered questions from the reporters. close
