The competition ended later that day, and culminated in a ceremony the next afternoon.
The students participated via video connection from the National Mall. They talked about why they got involved in the solar house competition, what it was like to design and build their houses, their thoughts on solar power, and the kinds of decisions their teams had to make. Mr. Boyt talked about solar power, its uses, and its future. Some of his students participated in the competition.
