Two political consultants, Republican consultant Paul Wilson and Democratic consultant Ray Strother, looked ahead to the 1992 elections and how they will be positioning their party’s leading congressional and presidential candidates. They also assessed the current political climate and how it will the Persian Gulf war success will carry over to the elections. Mr. Strother said that the Democratic Party is a “good opposition party.” Mr. Wilson predicted that the Republican Party will see positive changes in the House and Senate composition in 1992. close
