Roger Porter, assistant to President Bush, spoke on the Bush administration’s policies on domestic issues and responded to viewers' phoned questions on issues concerning the economy, the homeless, and other national priorities. Mr. Porter said President Bush stated three objectives to aim for in shaping domestic policy: the U.S. must encourage economic growth, invest in the nation’s future through its infrastructure, and increase the responsibility of the individual for solutions and decrease reliance on the government for solutions to all problems. close
