The Thomas Jefferson Center for Protection of Free Expression held an event at the National Press Club where journalists, attorneys, and officials talked about media coverage of military operations. Among the topics they addressed were relations between journalists and the military, access to sensitive material and operational information, national security interests and freedom of speech, and past experiences with war reporting. They also talked about agreements between media organizations and the military in any potential military action in Iraq. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience. close
