Progressive Caucus members spoke to reporters about their alternate view of the State of the Union as President Bush was scheduled to give his second State of the Union to a joint session of Congress. Among the issues they addressed were the state of the economy, low employment rates, consumer confidence, economic assistance to working families, and the potential impact of conflict in Iraq on the economy. Following their remarks they answered questions from the reporters. close
