Journalists at War: The 2003 William E. Colby Military Writers Symposium on War Reporting. The panelists include Rick Atkinson, author of An Army at Dawn, Joseph Galloway, co-author of We Were Soldiers Once " And Young, and Sean Naylor, co-author of Clash of Chariots. The panelists all discussed covering war as journalists and what it means to be a civilian on the battlefield. Between them, the panelists covered wars in Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Haiti, and Bosnia. Lewis Sorley, Executive Director of the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States, moderated the panel. The 5th annual Colby Symposium at the National Press Club was sponsored by the Pritzker Military Library, Norwich University, the Eric Friedheim Library, and Tawani Enterprises. close
