The Road to the White House followed Representative Richard Gephardt (D-MO) to New Hampshire and then Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) to Iowa.

Earlier this week, Rep. Gephardt announced his candidacy for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination. On Thursday, February 20, 2003, we traveled with him on campaign stops at St. Anselm’s College and at a small business, Keystone Press, Inc. in Manchester. New Hampshire is scheduled to host the first-in-the-nation presidential primary in January, 2004.

This marked Sen. Lieberman’s first visit to Iowa since formally entering the presidential race on January 13th. On Monday, February 17, 2003, he visited the Drake Diner in Des Moines and spoke with residents and local media. Iowa is scheduled to host their presidential caucuses in January, 2004. close
