President Bush addressed the nation on the probability of war with Iraq. He restated the reasons for removing Saddam Hussein from power. Issuing a forty-eight-hour ultimatum, he said that President Saddam Hussein must leave Iraq or military attacks on that country would begin at a time set by the U.S. He also addressed the people of Iraq, particularly members of the Iraqi armed forces, whom he warned not to use chemical or biological weapons. close
