Members of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee heard testimony on the Space Shuttle Columbia explosion, as well as recommendations for the future of space policy. In his testimony Admiral Harold Gehman was critical of NASA’s safety office and said that wide-ranging changes were needed before the shuttle program should be allowed to operate. close
