Mr. Gregorian talked about his memoir The Road to Home: My Life and Times, published by Simon and Schuster. Mr. Gregorian explains how he went from a childhood as a Christian Armenian in a poor section of Tabriz, Iran, to become president of the New York Public Library and, later, the president of Brown University. He was inspired by the worlds that he found in books, and so when he was fifteen years old he presented himself at an Armenian-French lycee in Beirut, Lebanon, to start the arduous task of changing his life. This memoir is the story of a journey from one educational experience to another.
