Six Days of War: June 1967 Michael Oren talked about his book, Six Days of War: June 1967 and the Making of the Modern Middle East. The book chronicles the events of the six-day-long Arab-Israeli War, which resulted in redrawn borders, changes in leadership, and a new balance of power. Mr. Oren writes about the roles of major figures in the war such as Moshe Dayan, Gamal Abdul Nasser, Lyndon Johnson, and Alexei Kosygin and explains the Six Day War in the larger context of the Cold War. After his presentation he answered questions from members of the audience. close
