This ceremony at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum marked the exhibit opening of “Anne Frank the Writer - An Unfinished Story.” Anne Frank was the Dutch Jewish teenager who kept a diary of her experience during the Nazi occupation of Holland, first at her home, then in hiding for two years. She eventually died in a Nazi death camp in 1944. This exhibit displays some of her original writings. The exhibit opened on Thursday, June 12, 2003 on what would have been Anne Frank’s 74th birthday. close
