C-SPAN traveled to Iraq with a delegation from the United States Agency for International Development - the lead U.S. agency involved in the reconstruction of post-war Iraq. While there, the group, headed up by USAID Administrator Andrew Natsios, traveled the country to assess how U.S. government money was being spent on projects involved in the rebuilding of Iraq’s infrastructure as well as for humanitarian purposes. The United States government had pledged an initial amount of over $2 billion for reconstruction efforts in Iraq to be spent in the next 18 months.
