Two senior citizens and two high school students engaged in an intergenerational dialogue. The discussion addressed the question: Is there a generation gap between America’s young and old? The panelists talked about issues such as respect, communication, society structure, cultural diversity, technology, the economy, and the media. They all agreed that the mass communication revolution that had occurred has become the “third parent” in the home so that “real” parents are no longer the primary provider of information to children. close
