Former Rep. Gingrich visited Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to promote Gettysburg: A Novel of the Civil War, which he co-authored with Mr. Forstchen. The book, published by St. Martin’s Press, is an alternative history that explores a fictional scenario in which the Confederate Army is victorious at Gettysburg. During his visit to Gettysburg, Rep. Gingrich signed copies of his book and visited Gibson’s Photographic Studio, where he had his picture taken using old-fashioned photographic methods. Rep. Gingrich also rode on the Gettysburg Scenic Railway, and he and Mr. Forstchen made brief remarks at the depot. close
