Mr. Banerjee talked about his book, Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: Seasons of Life and Land, published by Mountaineers Books. He discussed his life and what led him to pursue photography in the arctic. He said that he hoped his book would help people see the beauty of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and convince them to preserve the refuge by defeating efforts to open ANWR for oil drilling. The book contains pictures taken by Mr. Banerjee, as well as essays by Mr. Banerjee and other writers. Following his presentation, Mr. Banerjee responded to questions from the audience. close
