The panelists, including Washington, D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams, Leonard James of ExxonMobil, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick (D), Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-illinois) and Ingrid Saunders-Jones of the Coca-Cola Foundation spoke about African-American youth leadership, including the qualities that make a good leader, ways to prepare for leadership, and the importance of community involvement, and the importance of being a positive role model. They also discussed the challenges of leadership and the factors that shape leaders. Radio talk show host, Tavis Smiley, moderated the panel. Panelists responded to questions from moderator and the audience. close
