Rep. Dave Weldon (R-FL), who represents Florida’s 15th congressional district which includes Kennedy Space Center, talked with reporters about the February 1, 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia accident. The explosion killed all seven astronauts aboard. He commented on the final report of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board and recommended a 25 percent increase in NASA funding. He also answered reporters' questions.
