Alfred Sikes discussed communications issues including broadcast regulations and recent FCC decisions regarding syndication. The Federal Communications Commission is an independent U.S. agency created in 1934 to regulate interstate and foreign communications, including radio, television, wire, and cable transmissions. The FCC is empowered to grant, revoke, renew, and modify broadcasting licenses and to assign broadcasting frequencies.
