Mr. Fountain talked about his autobiography, True Vine: A Young Black Man’s Journey of Faith, Hope, and Clarity, published by PublicAffairs. The book details the author’s life from his boyhood in a poverty-stricken area of Chicago and his struggles to achieve through his current position as a New York Times correspondent. He displayed some of the newspaper articles that he had written in an effort to make a difference in the world. Mr. Fountain also read excerpts from his book. After his presentation he answered a few questions from members of the audience. close
