Washington politicians gathered in the Capitol building to honor former Representative Morris Udall, D-AZ. Earlier in the week, Rep. Udall resigned due to incapacitation caused by Parkinson’s disease. First elected to the House in 1961, he was noted for his skill as a legislator and for his sense of humor and lack of pretension as he served his constituents. Rep. Udall was too ill to attend the reception in his honor. close
