Retired General Gazit, former head of Israeli military intelligence, talked about current intelligence issues in the Middle East. Topics included Massad (Israeli intelligence), Egyptian intelligence and others. He used the 1976 highjacking of a French airliner from Athens to Uganda as a case study, describing in detail how Israeli commandos rescued the hostages. He also mentioned the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. After his presentation, he answered audience members' questions. close
