At the Liberal Democratic Party convention, a video montage was shown of Prime Minister jean Chretien’s career as part of a tribute to him as he retires from the post of Canadian prime minister. Mr. Chretien then spoke about some of his accomplishments for Canada and within the party itself. He mentioned the compromise that prevented Quebec, his home province, from seceding from the country. close
