Journalists discussed their experiences working in the media. They also talked about their links to Texas and the influence of the state in their lives. Ms. Crier is the author of The Case Against Lawyers, published by Broadway. The book examines the problems the author observes with the current U.S. legal system. Mr. Schieffer is the author of This Just In: What I Couldn’t Tell you on TV, published by Putnam Publishing Group. The book tells the story of his career as a reporter. Wayne Slater is the co-author of Bush’s Brain: How Karl Rove Made George W. Bush Presidential, published by John Wiley and Sons. The book analyzes the role of political consultant and White House advisor Karl Rove. Mr. Isenberg moderated the panel. Panelists responded to questions from the moderator and the audience. close
