Jonathan Kaplan of The Hill, reported on the Congressional agenda for the rest of the year and how soon it might be completed. The main issues were the Medicare bill, the energy bill, and spending bills. The energy bill had passed the House but some Senators were considering a filibuster. Mr. Kaplan explicated on the pros and cons of combining spending bills into an omnibus bill. He also explained the operation of conference committees. close
