Representatives of alternative and independent media outlets talked about their work. Kristy Li Puma is an independent videographer and a media activist. Tim Karr’s “Media Channel” is a public interest web site dedicated to global media issues, including news reports and commentary on international issues. Ms. Kat khouda is a reporter for “Peace Watch,” a program airing daily on Pacifica Radio stations which provide educational content and seek out news sources ignored by mainstream media.
