Eastern European education ministers met with the National Governor’s Association to exchange ideas on education reform. They talked about school funding, tuition costs, parent participation and teacher training. Polish Minister Glebocki and Gov. Gardner debated the issue of centralization. Romanian Minister Stefan spoke about Romania’s educational challenges and goals. Bulgarian Minister Mateev highlighted his country’s system allowing schools full autonomy over their budgets and curriculums. close
