Author, John Perkins, talked about his book “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man". The book discussed some of the assignments he was given while working as what he terms an "economic hit man” for the U.S. government. Mr. Perkins said that since the 1950s the U.S. government has used a form of international loan-sharking to gain leverage over poor countries that it deems to be strategically important. After his presentation he responded to questions from members of the audience. close
