Former Vice President Al Gore, who had earlier endorsed former Governor

Howard Dean for president, spoke to a crowd of Dean supporters at Dean’s Iowa campaign headquarters. The former vice president reiterated his support for Dean, and praised former Senator Tom Harkin for endorsing Dean as well. He also stated that the nation was headed in the wrong direction and needed to reverse course.
