At the Key West Literary Seminar on a panel about the Latino voice in American Literature the panelists discussed the many ways in which the Latino story is told in books. They talked about how their own stories are all representative of some part of the greater Latino experience. They discussed the variety of Latino identity and the variety of mixtures that are labeled Latino as well as the differences in the Spanish language. They also answered questions from members of the audience. Mr. Goldman is the author of the novels The Long Night of White Chickens and The Ordinary Seaman. Mr. Junot is the author of Drown. Ms. Garcia is the author of the novels Dreaming in Cuban and The Aguero Sisters. Ms. Lanpher moderated the event. close
