NASA scientists talked about the status of the Mars Opportunity and Mars Spirit rover missions. Among the specific issues addressed were the apparently successful resolution of technical problems with the Spirit rover, the use of the Spirit rover’s rock abrasion tool, and the movements of the Opportunity rover. Slides were shown throughout the presentation. Following prepared remarks, the officials responded to questions from reporters. close
