The Senate passed S. 676, to provide for testing for the illegal use of alcohol or controlled substances by persons who operate aircraft, trains, or commercial motor vehicles, and for motor vehicles. The Senate continued consideration of S.3, to amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971. The injunction of secrecy was removed from treaties concerning hazardous waste and Tunisian investments. The Senate received messages with respect to Japan’s trade in sea turtles and received nominations for the positions of Judge and Director of the Office of Energy Research. close
