Author Michael Curtis talked about his book, "Verdict on Vichy: Power and Prejudice in the Vichy France Regime", published by Arcade Books. In the book, Curtis examined the history of France’s Vichy government, which, under German authority, ruled a portion of France during World War II. He attempted to separate fact from fiction regarding the cooperation between Vichy France and Nazi Germany, focusing on the treatment of France’s 330,000 Jews. He also addressed the issues of acknowledgement and responsibility. Following prepared remarks, Curtis responded to questions from the audience. close
