Panelists talked about The Reagan Presidency: Pragmatic Conservatism and Its Legacies, published by University Press of Kansas. Mr. Brownlee co-edited the book. Mr. Wells, Mr. Heclo, and Mr. Graham were contributors. The book, a collection of fifteen essays, focuses on four major aspects of the Reagan administration: ideas and rhetoric, foreign policy, economic agenda, and social agenda. Mr. Heclo talked about ideas and rhetoric, Mr. Wells discussed foreign policy, Mr. Brownlee focused on the economic agenda, and Mr. Graham talked about the social agenda. The panelists also discussed the process of writing and assembling the book, and responded to questions from the audience. close
