The day before the Wisconsin Democratic presidential primary supporters of Senator John Kerry (D-MA) held a rally in Madison, Wisconsin. His wife, Teresa, spoke focused on educational programs, the senator’s character, his service in Vietnam, and that although he chose to serve he did not judge others who did differently. The crowd applauded Teresa Kerry’s comment that she’s only been married to Senator Kerry for eight years and what happened before that is none of her business. Senator Ted Kennedy (D-MA) spoke in praise of Mrs. Kerry, campaigning, and about the economy. After their speeches they mingled with the crowd. close
