Mr. Lawrence, a C-SPAN 25th anniversary essay contest winner, was interviewed via telephone from Fairhope, Alabama. He talked about his C-SPAN viewing habits and read his essay. He talked about how observing the discussions on C-SPAN inspired him to help form a grassroots civic organization called Citizens for Responsible Government. They have a website, www.ResponsibleGov.net, and hold monthly meetings to discuss issues and then take action. close
