It was preceded by the statistical report they had commissioned from John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York. This was presented, with graphics, by Dr. Terry. Mr. Bennett, chair of the subcommittee on causes and context, presented the board’s conclusions. After the presentations the investigators and the board members answered questions from the press on topics including the reliability of the study and future actions to be taken.
