Theresa Rusho was interviewed by telephone from Brighton, Massachusetts. She read her essay which was a winning entry in the C-SPAN 25th Anniversary Essay Contest. She told how she was first interviewed for a C-SPAN newsletter in 1988 when, at the age of 14, her winning entry in a newspaper editorial cartoon contest focused on C-SPAN. Her high school interest in media eventually led to a college internship at MTV. She continues to believe in the intersection of politics and youth. She made a website with games in support of the presidential candidacy of Howard Dean. close
