Upon returning to the White House from Camp David, President Bush made remarks about Haiti. He said that as President Aristide had resigned and there was an interim president that the constitution of Haiti was working. U.S. Marines had been deployed as the lead element of an interim international force to maintain order and help the Haitian people achieve a hopeful future. He did not responde to questions from the press. close
