State Department spokesman Richard Boucher read the State Department’s statement reacting to the bombings in Madrid, Spain, and offering the secretary’s condolences. He answered reporters' questions about the status of the search for perpetrators in Spain, saying that the Spanish government believes the bombings were the work of the Basque separatist group ETA.
