Hans Blix talked about his book, Disarming Iraq, published by Pantheon Books. In the book, the author, who had served as the director of the United Nations Inspection Commission, gives his account of the weapons inspection efforts in Iraq prior to the recent war. He also provides background information on the inspection process, and argues that the invasion of Iraq was unnecessary given that evidence of weapons of mass destruction has not been found. Following the discussion, Mr. Blix responded to questions from the audience. close
