Marrack Goulding talked about his book, Peacemonger, published by Johns Hopkins University Press. In the book, the author gives an insider’s account of the peacekeeping efforts of the United Nations from 1986 through 1993, during which time he served as U.N. undersecretary-general for Peacekeeping Operations. This discussion focused on the war in Iraq and the problems of reconstruction and democratization. Following prepared remarks, Mr. Goulding responded to questions from the audience. close
